Title
APPROVAL OF RANKING OF QUALIFIED AND CERTIFIED ENVIRONMENTAL CONSULTING FIRMS TO PROVIDE ENVIRONMENTAL CONSULTING SERVICES UNDER THE TERMS OF INDIVIDUAL NON-EXCLUSIVE THREE (3)-YEAR CONTINUING CONTRACTS

Description
The scope of work shall include, but not be limited to:  [1] Inspection of various wetlands/surface water management sites:  review each area's required success criteria & assist with establishing a rehabilitation plan and maintenance program; [2] Perform environmental monitoring for the determination of compensation success to include water levels and fixed point photographic documentation; [3] perform maintenance events which include chemical treatment and/or manual removal of noxious, nuisance, non-native plant species; [4] Perform replanting as necessary to maintain correct levels of desirable plant species; [5] Insure that all sites be maintained in accordance with their respective permits and all applicable Federal, State & County laws and ordinances.  On 12/13/2007, the Professional Services Selection Committee (PSSC) met to select at least one (1) but no more than two (2) qualified and certified environmental consulting firms for these services.  The Committee has ranked them in accordance with Board policy.  The total estimated cost for these services for the three (3)-year period is $500,000.00.  Funds for these services are available through individual capital project accounts.

Recommendation
That the ranking of qualified and certified environmental consulting firms to provide Environmental Consulting Services, under the terms of individual non-exclusive three (3)-year contracts, be approved as presented and the Director of Construction Services be authorized to attempt negotiations with the two (2) top-ranked firms.
